They replaced the harddrive so I'm not sure what happened to the stuff on the old one. I was under the impression they could save something when they called me, they were in the process of restoring it. They didn't say anything when I picked up my laptop yesterday. So I will call the shop today (it closed before I got home yesterday) and ask what's happened and if it's possible to get my old harddrive back.
ETA: The harddrive is completely busted and they couldn't save anything.
But they mentioned about professional data restoring services and I'm gonna consider doing that (it really depends on the price). I'm gonna go pick up the old harddrive now.
