Spoiler:
So MK said that E/A would talk about their feelings and their situation in an upcoming episode. Emily is definitely still conflicted about her feelings for both Paige and Ali. So E/A talking about this is to be expected and I'm surprised it did not happen sooner. It will probably happen in episode 509. Who's willing to bet that after the talk that Emily finds out some more damaging news about Ali that ends up hurting her? Emily might find out something in 509 that hurts her and then in 510 that whole story(Ali thinking of framing an innocent man to save her own ass) might make her even more distrustful/wary of Ali. My only problem with all of this is that it takes place only 1 or 2 episodes before Paige shows back up in episode 511. I just find the timing to be a little rushed.
I've said a billion times that I don't want Emily only starting to recognize that Paige is the right person for her because of getting her heart broken by Ali again. I know that Emily has continued reaching out to Paige since the break up and that we know she(Emily) still loves Paige. However I don't want the writers to make it seem like the main reason Emily will even think of reuniting with Paige is because Ali broke her heart(and her trust) again. I know that the writers could have the blinders come break free from Emily's eyes in 509 and 510 where Ali is concerned. I mean it is already starting to happen a bit.
I know that the writers could have Emily slowly realize that Paige was right all along about Ali. They could have Emily realize that she belongs with Paige and always did especially since the love is still there on both sides. However I'm just really hoping that the writing will be clear cut in making any Paily reunion or any warm up to a Paily reunion be about them (their issues and their history). It all comes down to the
WRITING. The writing for the other couples on PLL has been consistently awful. For instance I think the Ezria and Haleb reunions this season have been terribly handled. TPTB have always seemed to put so much emphasis on couples instead of the mystery on PLL which is very odd since they do a pretty poorly job of writing for those couples in my opinion. So this is why I'm worried that the writing will be just as bad or lacking for a potential Paily reunion. This is why I wish JD could write every Paily scene from now on. Having said all of that, I will say that so far Paily has received the best writing out of all of the couples on PLL. And I really hope that continues. I'm just hoping that the Paily scenes and circumstances(in 511, 512, 513, and 514) will be very well written to honor both characters as well as their romantic history. I'm not certain when a Paily reunion will happen. I just hope any Paily reunion will be well done.

But don't forget how Emily/Paige were super awkward friends in 305 and then in 308, Paige's next episode, they were kissing and reuniting (and JD wrote that episode and he also wrote 511). And really Paily have had more build-up to reuniting in S5a so far than S3a. It's not like Emily ever stopped loving Paige, she was just mad that Paige broke her trust (understandable). Now Paige has proven that she'll do anything to protect Emily, even if that means indirectly protecting Alison. If that hasn't won back Emily's trust, I don't know what will.

You are very correct. I'm actually in agreement with everything you have written. The writers do reunite couples very quickly on the show. Paily could very well reunite by the end of 5A. I just hope it will be done correctly. And I really hope we get a very steamy kiss like we got for episode 308. It has been so long since we have gotten some steamy or even very affectionate kisses with Paily. We need some Paily kisses and romance in 5A and 5B to make up for such a long drought. TPTB need to give Paily fans a treat for continuing to hang in there for so long.
This could be a very good and interesting plot twist in regards to Paily the rest of season 5. Like I said swimming is what brought them together in the 1st place. This could definitely work in Paily's favor. Well at least I certainly hope so.
