Act 2:
Jake and Amy are driving together working a case.
Amy says Teddy wanted this to be their first thanksgiving together.
Jake calls someone.
Jake gets off the phone and says it's going to take 3 hours to process something.
They check into a crappy motel.
Jake goes to Amy's room.
She tells him she wants to break up with Teddy.
And then Teddy arrives and surprises them.
Act 3:
They still don't let Teddy in.
Jake says he thought Amy was sad because she missed Teddy.
Amy says she was sad because she was going to break up with him.
They freak out.
Jake closes the door on Teddy.
And someone says"...why would i say this..."
Teddy brought food, cranberry pilsners and party hats and something that says Teddy and Amy on it.
Jake thinks Amy should tell the truth (tell Teddy she wants to break up).
Amy can't break up with him so close to christmas. Eventually, she says. 2017.
Jake tried to excuse himself so they could talk.
Act 4:
Teddy goes to stay the night in Jake's room because Amy breaks up with him.
Teddy is sad about the situation and Jake tries to give him a pep talk to make him feel better.
Jake tells Teddy that he went through something similar and that it was hard.
He accidentally mentions Amy's name and then tries to cover it up by saying that the Amy he is talking about spells her name differently and is definitely not a cop.
Jake's advice makes Teddy feel better and that is when Teddy tells Jake that he should, "keep going after his Amy because she is missing out on a great guy."
