he does a good job acting awkward and a bit backward around Nicole at first, but nothing awkward when he dances with her. Maybe that's because that was a total ad lib and he didn't know if it would be in the movie, so just acting natural and charming, and not trying to play the "director's role" of awkward, shy, troubled Jack that he played in most of the scenes under direction?
