As much as it was sad to see that Christina and Owen wouldn't have worked out either way, it's not a surprise at all seeing as how she started on the show. She's only had two loves: Burke and Owen. She's always been so strong and independent and hungry for her career so unless she found someone else to run with her, nothing will ever make her happy. The only difference between the two men is that Burke realized he couldn't give her what she wanted and left, and Owen loves her a lot to hope that they could move forward.
Overall, it was an episode that is making Christina Yang's character full circle.
