Does anyone know what was going on during those scenes?
There were only two times I paid attention to how anyone reacted to a performance.
The first was when Puck sang Only the good die young, because she stood up and danced when she should have left the room crying.
The other time was when Santana was perfectly still and frowning during Last Friday Night. The latter led to important dialogue.
Is it possible that the other cast members (mostly amateurs fighting for every line) were overreacting to everything, take after take while she (a confident real actor and the original female lead) barely moved because she didn't think it mattered.
That sounds bad, but a real actor would define her character and stay in character and since Quinn was self-absorbed, not passionate about music, didn't like most of the other glee club members and bored out of the spotlight, would not react to most performances and rarely pay attention to Will?
Is it possible that while the latter was true, the management wrongly guessed the former and punished her for it with fewer lines and solos, damaging both the show and her career in the process?
