Hi,
I really liked the movie. It was like seeing some old dear friends after many years.
I was really happy to read elsewhere that even non- fans were able to enjoy it.
The movie has its flaws but we should cut Rob Thomas some slack. It was not so easy: He had to make a movie for the fans but also enjoyable for the newbies, he had to find a compelling mystery and in the meantime he had to use all of the old characters. Let's not forget that he had to pack all of this in less than 2 hours. I think that he did a really good job.
I would be totally okay if this was the end of VM. On the other hand, i could be ready for new adventures. Just please, i do not want season3 mistakes again. I want them to keep it real, noirish, VM style like s1 and s2
I loved seeing Wallace, Mac, papa Mars and Weevil interacting with V.
Gaby Hoffmann was fantastic! All of her scenes with L/V were gold. And Vinnie was so creepy and funny as usual.
Sad that Gia died, I've always liked her and i love Krystin Ritter.
Veronica was more herself than she has ever been since season 3. Finally, i liked her again.
Logan has grown up a lot and honestly, after all he went thorugh, i was so proud of him!
He has become a good man with an honorable job. Yes, he still is a bit hotheaded and dark (i.e. the fight, difficult pop star girlfriend...) but he was the one who matured the most in my opinion. And i think that Veronica saw that too. Their relationship could really work this time around.
I was not sorry for Piz. Veronica had her good reasons to stay in Neptune, Logan was an innocent who risked his life and she was looking for the truth. If you don't get this you don't get Veronica. Well, not that Piz ever got her anyway.
