Damon's speech is long enough for another title.

I love our part of the fandom to pieces right now and you know why? Because none of us, “Damon stans” or “Damon fans” or “DE shippers” are ok with what Damon did. We are all utterly sad and angry that he went that far. So basically, this is his lowest, his darkest, he can’t do anything more awful than that. And yet, 3 days after the episode aired, amazing metas and analysis are published about him, trying to simply understand. We just don’t give up, we think about it, we re-watch his scenes, we analyse what’s going in Damon’s mind because we know that he’s not that person. We know him well enough not to buy this BS.
And this is when you see why being invested in a fandom can save a TV show for you; without the smart people in our fandom, we would just be angry and lost. But together? we are a force, we help each other, support each other and suddenly, everything is crystal clear again.
Even tho we don’t like what’s going on, now at least we understand what is happening. Thank you guys.
