high Noon was just on. I'd like to make a prequel with Will as Marshall Caine.
He starts the movie as a sheriff in a sleepy Kentucky farm town. He joins the Civil War and is slightly wounded in a heroic battle. When he returns home he finds his family was killed by raiders.
They send him to a western town overrun by a gang led by Frank Miller. Naya play Miss Ramirez,Miller's lover. As she sees Miller's influence crumbling she dumps him for will. With six deputies and local assistance they round up the gang. Miller's political connections avoid the death penalty and get him released at the end.
Meanwhile Will dumps Naya for Diana (Grace Kelly's part). she's a Quaker, hating all violence since her father and brother were killed in gunfights.She persuades him to retire and marry her. Naya moves on to his restless deputy.
The remake of High Noon follows directly.
That could be a mini-series, two standard films or a three-hour epic.
