Yeah, it started out really well for Tyler and Caroline. They were both from two opposite sides, the vampires and werewolves who were at war with each other for centuries, so they definitely had that whole Romeo and Juliet way about them. In the earlier seasons they had that whole "epic love that can overcome any obstacle" but then in the later seasons they were basically destroyed as a couple and too many unforgivable betrayals led to where they are now
