There has been rumours, fuelled by the actor himself on Twitter, that the teacher that gave Clara the message in Day of the Doctor, will be joining the TARDIS crew next year. Like I said, rumours that the actor playing him has fuelled (can't remember the exact tweet) but I'd be happy with that- two school teachers travelling with an older Doctor... Hmmm... Now where have I heard that before
