I disagree with you there
when I was 16 my "boyfriend" (but you dont have proper boyfriend at that age...I dont think you do anyway) broke up with me and ended up dating my best friend for like 2 years...sure I was mad but eh life is too short...and now I'm 23 thats all completely forgotten....so in my opinion, yes you do forget stuff like that
