When Wendy returned she had no idea that she had only been gone for a night. She said that it felt like so much longer and that time must move differently in Neverland, but she didn't elaborate further.
If the main characters are there for a couple of months (the show usually follows real time based on seasonal change and things like that) then I think it's possible that when they return a couple of years will have passed for Storybrooke.

But the way Wendy stated it appears that it would actually be the opposite - time moves
slower in our world. So they could be years away in Neverland, not growing old, and return to a Storybrooke that only missed them for a few months.
I'm quite conflicted as to how I feel about the finale. Mostly in regards to Belle not joining them & Tamara and Greg/Owen's plotline being rush-rush-rushed.
