So that doesn't fit with him being confused about people being mad at him... does it? Or did I let my mind fill in the blanks?

on re-watch i have gathered that he did not really admit to cheating but the dialogue made Zoe & us the audience believe that he was talking about cheating. but then again i am choosing to be very literal about what was said and treating it like fine print to bring me to a happy place
