Well, the postcard would tell him Emma was in Storybrooke. But did he even know there were cursed fairy tale characters? If he didn't, he's in for a surprise when the gets there and finds out twenty-something-year-old Prince Charming is Emma's father. There is something funny about him coming to town and asking the first person he sees if they know where to find Emma Swan, though. Especially if that person is Mr. Clark. Though asking the waitress at the diner is probably more logical. And, provided he doesn't sneak in under the radar, how much attention will a new person in Storybrooke draw?
Logically, he's more likely to meet up with August first of all, but he'd have to find August first. Still I kinda like the idea of him walking in to town "blind", as it were.
