Erica Messer (show-runner):'It always felt like in a different time and place maybe those two could be together.'

Paget Brewster:'You know, when Hotch was blown up in the SUV, we shot this scene where he’s in the hospital and I’m standing next to him, looking at his bleeding ear. Our director came in and said, “Paget, you’re looking at Hotch like you’re in love with him. It looks really weird.” So now, every day, Thomas and I flutter our eyelids at each other.'



Breen Frazier (writer): 'Hotch and Prentiss understand each other in a way that no two other members of the team do. That's especially true now that they're both survivers of massiv trauma.'

Thomas Gibson: 'Paget has such a great character and she’s a wonderful person, it’s just hard to say we won’t miss everything about her.'

Erica Messer:'I know a lot of people out there want those two together, and it’s not to say it will never happen, because in many ways trusting one another and being there for each other in the field when it counts speaks volumes about relationships.'
