Bah. It's me again...
This past week I've had a bunch of problems pop up and it only seems reasonable that so many problems at once mean a virus, but so far, none of my scans (Avast, MalwareBytes) have yielded anything. Here's the deal.
- I get warnings saying
"The application or DLL [insert whatever program here (ie. Mozilla Firefox)] is not a valid Windows Image". How's that?
- Other warnings are
"The application failed to initialize properly", or
"Insufficient system resources exist to complete this request." I am only at 33% capacity.
- I get blank or black
My Document files
- Blank
Start Menu or blank MSN conversations, even though I just typed
- Extreme lag in streaming
- And my
Welcome settings load very slow.
Restarting usually stops all this for a few hours, but it comes back after a while. Is my baby sick, is it something I can fix - I just had it reformatted less than a year ago, and I really don't want to do it again -, or is it dying (because it's at least 8 years old)?
Any help would be awesome.
