i didnt get from the episoe that she was compelled to love stefan.
i got that she wanted passion, consuming love etc. BEFORE her parents died, but then after the accident she wanted something else..w hich is what stefan gave her.
i think it was supposed to be an ironic and sad moment for DE and their fans. SSaying, oh wait, she DID meet damon first, and damon IS what she wanted. But then things changed and it was out of anyones control.
