Yeah, I think it would definitely have to be something drastic to break the ice. We are so angry with Liam right now, I don't know what he could possibly do to make it up. The whole jealousy thing has been done before and if Annie took him back she'd be a doormat and piss us off.
If Annie just so happened to be in a place where there was a hold up and she ended up getting shot, maybe it would force Liam to realize how much he does love Annie and that he takes her presence in his life for granted. At least a speal about how much he loves her, followed by an apology and then a lot of groveling would at least be a start.
