Maybe what I thought about can give some things to discuss and it will help kill this thread
I suspect it before but now we know what Toby's agenda was (even if we don't know the details) some scenes we saw since he came back in 2x23 (2x22 if we count the bike scene in the street) have more than we think at the time ...
-1st : the bike scene in 2x22 : It seems like he drove close enough to be seen by Spencer ... because for what other reason would he come just there stop for few seconds and then drove back from where he came from ...
-2nd : the hallway scene in 2x23 : the minute he saw Spencer and she started to talk to him he crossed his arms on his chest like if he didn't want to be tempted hugging her or something like that and while he talked to her coldly we can see on his face the efforts he had to do for being that cold with her ...
-3rd : the scene at the hospital with him, Jenna and Wren in 2x23 : his looks to Wren and the way he talked to him it's like if he knew what Wren was up too concerning Spencer ... I mean that Wren was going after her not that Spencer wanted to be with him ...
4th : the scene in which he asks Spencer if she's alright in 2x23 at the hospital, not only because she was injured of course ... his concern for her is far more here and he can't help asking ...
With that one could also fit the scenes of looks between Spencer and Toby in both 2x23 (in the street at the beginning of the episode) and in 2x24 when Jenna is about to do her "forgiveness" speech to the girls at school ...
5th : the scene in the finale when Spencer comes to see him at Jason's house and he is still cold to her ... the way at the end he wanted to say or do something when Spencer is already gone like if for him she doesn't have anything to be forgiven for in his eyes because I think he already knows at this point what has to be known even maybe what concerns Wren (maybe not in the details but the big picture of him pirsuing Spencer especially when she's vulnerable) ... don't know if it's clear ...
6th : the reunion scene if that scene shows us something it's how epic and kikackassing a kiss can be between two characters who love each other and what this scene shows us too it's how Toby is able to take charges of thing by the way he grabbed Spencer to kiss her but also by what all more this reunion means ... Toby was working on helping Spencer and he succeeded !
Like MK said in her tweet few weeks ago ... as for Spencer and Toby true love conquers all !!!
