He always warned Alaric about Meredith and so much more. He has really smart instincts. He knows which buttons push. He is like the eyes and ears of the town. He knows everyone’s weaknesses and how to use them for or against them. And more than 50% of the story lines on the show moves because of his actions and decisions, good or reckless. He is a plot changer. And that makes him one of the most strongest characters overall on the show.
