He can play a different kind of crazy, doesn't have to be a copy of Tate. I think it would be great if he played an innocent person, not as psychotic as Tate. Still crazy but not as malicious as Tate.

She said that Zach Quinto and Mena Suvari (who played the Black Dahlia) weren't cast until September, which was after the official casting list came out for the other actors. So there is a small chance they might cast her for a smaller role down the road. I wouldn't count on it, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
