I want to amend my original thoughts from the discussion thread:
It seems like until the last 10 minutes of the episode, they didn't even try as they would for all the other episodes. Some parts lagged .... and Abby's excuse for abandoning Bonnie was so ****ing half-assed & not well thought out. And her putting some stranger Cousin Skeeter bitch over her own daughter? But yes, Bonnie is supposed to feel sorry for her and help her get her magic back? Kat's Graham's acting was flawless, but the writers didn't give her that much to work with. And with people saying the episode was boring and that Elijah's return was the best part..... meh.
The episode just did NOT live up to my expectations, but I don't know why I'm surprised.
