Matthew probed Mary in the dance scene while Matthew and Lavinia are approaching their April wedding, followed by Lavinia saw this public kiss in a salon and died shortly after, followed by Matthew saying "we are cursed, you and I" to Mary in the graveyard. It just shows to me how little he cares or understands of Mary's feelings. Am I a little too protective of Mary now?
