Agreed. It hurt me a lot for Wesley, and as a big fan of Wes and Fred as a couple but that was of course intentional... Joss wanted me to hurt and it worked. I loved the parallels between Wesley and the bad guy... up to the part where Wesley tells Fred and Gunn to take care of each-other instead of going all psycho... proving it's the real love not fixation like the counts...
