Spike/Buffy I will never regret that they are my OTP. I never do when it comes to my ships it is weird how I never gave up on any of them even when things got dark and it was pretty hard to ship them. With this two things got VERY dark at some point. And still I knew they will make it. Because what they had was real and they needed to go through it all to become stronger, to become better and their love passed a test. It passed all the tests in the world, literally. And here they where, next to each other in the end. Being heroes. Being in love. Can there be a better ending for a couple?

BTVS/Life
BTVS season 5/Life

BTVS season 6/Life ever though it might be not the most popular opinion out there I have to say it, because heck, pretty much all of my opinions are unpopular Anyway... despite season 5 being my favourite BTVS season for many reasons - the writing, the emotional strength of some episodes like the Body or the Gift, Glory being the most epic television villian of all time, Spike's story and backstory, Buffy's journey and acceptance of her destiny - still season 6 is the one that I can relate to the most. Joss could have ended it on S5. He could have ended it on a gracefull note, with Buffy dying to save the world and finding her peace in death leaving her loving ones a gift to live, it being labled as the hardest thing in the world. But Joss went further. He actually made Buffy do this hardest thing - live in this world. Live in it even when it gets as hard as it never was. Live in it even when you feel like you clearly don't belong here. Live in it and facing something that is worse than 1000 of demons - growing up. Live in it even when you feel so broken and wasted that you literally have nothing "to sing about". OMWF was probably the best episode on tv that dealt with such a hard issue as belonging, depression, desire to get away from this life, to "leave the crowd". This moment when you feel like you have nothing to stay for, no music to play and no songs to sing. But life is not a song... it's just this. It's living.

That was the massege of season 6. It was not about throwing some provocative and dark things together for shocking effect. It was meant to show how hard it is to live in this world sometimes. How you have to cope and move on when you don't feel like or can't or don't want to. How you have to stand up and keep walking even if you prefer to lay down and die. And maybe in the end, if you pass through this darkness, you find your light. I think it was a great symbolism in the last season 6 episode when Buffy said to Dawn that despite everything being so messed up and hard, she wants to live and see her growing up, she chose life over death. And they got out of their trap and met the daylight together. Buffy found her light and it was meant to give a hope that it is possible to do it, even in the darkest periodes of your life there is still hope. And there is always a choice. Spike's journey in S6 was supposed to represent it. And a spark he got back in the end. He choice to feel, to face the real life and real feelings, no matter how hard it can be. I think season 6 was meant to be about life. And it was a very strong season in my opinion.

It was also meant to show us how sometimes simply human stupidity can be worse and more dangerous than ancient evil. And that life is all about us, our choices, our decisions.
I agree with everything.

You said it better than I ever could.

Spuffy were hard to ship. Then their were moments that I could see the potential they had even during the dark times. At the first of the season. He was the only one she wanted to spend time with. Buffy went to him everynight after she was brought back. Just being with him gave her peace.

We saw him make her laugh and smile in a few scenes.
