Yeah, I'm glad too. I can totally notice right away when an actor has a fake beard and it spoils everything for me after that.
Oh, and I'm glad even more that not only he grew a beard, but he has one almost all the time in real life, too. (shorter-longer, who cares as long as he has facial hair)
