I honestly love this scene more than ILY. It is not like I doubt that she meant it, but it was definitelly not the right time to tell him about her feelings and definitelly not the way she wanted it to happen. While when she said she believes in him, it just came naturally, it was so fitting and it made them both feel better - Buffy finally said what she thinks and feels about him and she gave Spike strength to fight. It was a very important scene.
