I have a feeling that with the story unravelling and everything becoming darker and darker, for Cesare and Lucrezia, their relationship will be the only true thing they can hold on to in the shadow of all the scheming and plotting. Maybe season 2 will give this 'us against the world' vibe and it'll be epic.
