So I've been thinking about this and looking at it some more.
I'm still not sure about the gold color but you're right, this dress fits a Latin theme without being a specific-Latin type of costume, it has a club feel to it (I like that), and also, I think it's much more like a "real" dress and less "costumey" (if there is such a word - but you guys know what I mean) than the original pink thing. This one feels more sophisticated and grown up.
If this isn't the real FD dress, I'm now hoping it's still very similar to this in style and cut.

(And I'm so glad no one is nit-picking on me on a public forum, what I'm wearing and what I did with my hair today - I'm sure I wouldn't pass the public approval rating, whatever that is. Hahaha)
