Who runs the page? The CW people? I'm pretty sure they do let know the writers what is said there since they're the ones who need the ratings too.
Well yeah exactly, I believe they are the most popular everywhere but having it crystal clear on something more official is awesome. I do hope it can help with their decisions for the show.
