It's been two years and Ian is still not following Kat. But on his part I think it is a hint they are not that close as he never tweets her or about her either. I remember in one instance Perez Hilton was tweeting Ian, trying to get him to tweet about Kat's new music video. That was kind of... weird.... I mean, I'm sure they get along fine on scene and like one another as co-workers but I don't think they are really that close and have lots of common friends or anything...
Paul would never get any hate from anyone, as Ian fans don't do mindless hate.
He is a nice guy and a friend of Ian's, there is no reason to hate him. Poor Ian gets hated on just because some people see him as an "obstacle". It is sad.
