I loved seeing Tina get jealous of Britt! That, for me, seemed like a huge anvil as to where the writers were heading, and it heartened me enough that I was able to laugh instead of rage at Britt being sappy with Artie later on ("I am so turned on by you" or whatever). The writers are clearly only using Bartie to make Tina jealous and set the stage for a reconciliation of Tartie. Presumably, Bartie is being used similarly in the other direction too: a stop-gap preparing the way for Brittana.
