You may be interested in getting a free account at photobucket.com. They make thumbnails for you.
Once you've uploaded the wallpaper, you'll see it listed in your folders below, and a coorosponding "thumbnail" will be listed. You'll only need to right click on the thumbnail, and copy the URL listed and use that as your thumbnail and then link it up to be clicked on so others can see the larger size.
