Updating from Windows 98 to XP- need help!
I'm hoping someone can help me with this because I'm not sure what to do. I have to update my home computer to XP from Windows 98. I only get as far as a certain screen before it freezes.
It says:
"Windows XP Professional Setup
Please wait while Setup examines you disks. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the disks."
Below that, there is a bar that shows the progress. It gets as far as 84% then it freezes. I've tried it several more times but it always freezes at 84%. I have no clue what to do to fix this!
