I don't think they will kill Rose off though, that'd bee too ironic that both mothers from this family were dead. I think they will come close, however.
As far as Ephram leaving goes, I think he is, infact, leaving for Europe. BUT! This isn't exactly a bad thing. I think his leaving will be a good break from everyone and will give him a chance to sort all this out.
