I'm bringing the reasons over from the last thread... don't know if you want to add them or not:
- Because making love to her meant everything to him
- Because he'd rather have her, all of her. Just the way she is, than everything else with someone who's not her
- Because when she's hurt he's still worried as hell
- Because she would have struck a deal with the Keeper to be able to come back to help him and be with him
