An Ode to Friendship

I made a friend once, long ago
Who I shall n'er forget
Her friendship meant the world to me
Romance was not even a threat
We tickled and splashed in a waterfall
As only the best friends do
And then she stuck her tongue in my mouth
And I knew that her friendship was true
My secrets were hers, her heart was mine
But in the most platonic way
She made out with my forehead when I was sick
Because that's what friends do, okay?
We were caught and kept in some cages once
A trial for my friend and I
But we undressed and had sex and held each other all night
It really helped the time pass by
When I told her I loved her, I didn't mean it that way
And she knew it, she always gets me
So she kissed me to let me know things were cool
And that as a friend, she totally agreed
She did all the normal things best friends do
Like licking her way down my chest
She unzipped my pants and stuck her hand in
As pals, we truly were blessed
She wanted a baby, I wanted to play house
Sometimes friends just don't see eye to eye
So she woke me with kisses and we argued a bit
Was the end of our friendship nigh?
But no worries, pals like us can't stay mad long
I caught up with her soon at the chopper
After asking my chum to look after my child
I kissed her platonically and jumped in the water
Now I missed my friend, I have to be honest
But then I found the love of my life!
OMG people, it was awesome, you have no idea
A no-assembly-required almost-wife!
No one knows exactly how it happened
But before I could even take a breather
I was in a jumpsuit and committed and boring as hell
It's okay, I don't get it either
But then, guess what happened? You'll never believe it,
My friend, my long lost friend, came back!
My world spun in circles and my Blondie flipped out
It was like a "Friends gone wild" attack!
Then Blondie died, she couldn't handle my friendship
But it was a big epic misunderstanding
All the kisses and sex and love themes and hugs
And post-coital cuddling with my friend notwithstanding
So now it's just me and my old buddy again
Just the two of us together once more
Maybe one day I'll let her in my pants for a spin
After all, isn't that what friends are for?
