I don't see her taking the job. I think it's to show that Lorelai has options. Many of them. And she's going to have to figure out, what she wants. But in the end, she's going to stay. But we don't know, where the job is, right?
And with Rory and Lorelai. I see Lorelai has confirmed her suspicions about Logan, trying to talk sense into Rory. But Rory won't see it. And there will be rift. And we'll be left yet again, with Rory and Lorelai not seeing eye to eye.
And then we'll see Rory come to terms with, the fact Lorelai is right. Or Lorelai is wrong, and Logan will prove her wrong...
I think they are showing how Rory is growing up, and she's making mistakes. And sometimes she needs to learn things, the hard way. Like she did with Dean. And now she's faced with the wealthy life, something she is totally not used to. While Lorelai came from that lifestyle.
Rory needs to find her own way!
