Just don't think they fit at all, and I personally always found Ron a bit too immature for her.
He was. Although I can't help but feel Hermione came off worse in their moments. Not in general. But I feel like her character was brought down more by them. Ron at least had his sweet moments and seemed to want to grow, but Hermione was just always kind of right and I don't think she respected Ron. I never understood why she liked him. With Ron it was clear, but Hermione didn't seem to respect him enough for me to get the appeal for her.

I also didn't like how Ron had to grow past his immaturity but what did Hermione have to grow past? She could have learned to be a little more accepting and less convinced that her ideas were always right, I think if they had shown Ron "winning" an argument with her ( a real argument that has some basis and isn't just cruel) and Hermione realizing she can be wrong, that would have been great for her character. But no. Ron was immature and Hermione was smart.
