Well, Claire had helped to develop some kind of online compatibility survey that a bunch of people from her singles group (including Trevor) volunteered to help test by filling it out and being matched with someone. Claire eventually decided to fill out a survey herself under a pseudonym, hoping to be paired with this statistician guy she was interested in. Instead, she was paired with Trevor, which freaked her out. Trevor didn't realize that he had been paired with her until he saw some modern art book in her office and realized that she'd been using one of the names from that as her pseudonym.

So at the end, Claire told Trevor, who had initially been skeptical about the idea of pairing people up using surveys, that she didn't have much faith in compatibility tests anymore. Trevor, kind of smiling, told her that he'd actually changed his opinion about them as well, and had come to think that they might work better than he'd thought. Then at the end of the scene, as she was walking away, he called her by the pseudonym that she had used for the survey.

So, there wasn't any big romantic moment, but there was kind of a hint that Trevor might have been starting to see romantic potential between Claire and himself. It was sweet, and although it wasn't a cliffhanger, it could kind of go either way, whether you think that they would have gotten together or not. I never really got into this show, or into Trevor/Claire, as much as I initially hoped I might, but it was still nice to see them end on a hopeful note.
