NPH plays Barney so well. He really gives the character another layer. Other characters that were also one dimensional like him ended up to be the worst on television, but even if the writing got terrible, I think he'd still be tolerable if only for the fact that NPH is extremely talented.

Exactly. I don't usually care for male actors, besides you know thinking they're hot, but I absolutely adore NPH.(Even Christian Bale, who I think is very talented, I think of him as hot first
) He turned a character that could so easily be a caricature into such a layered and amazing one. Plus he seems really funny and a total sweetheart in real life, so the idea of someone disliking him to me, is like...what? Have you not seen his awesome portrayal of one of the best characters on TV?
