A good rule of thumb is that food is healthy if it's fresh.
Healthiest: fresh fruit and veg.
Next best: frozen.
Avoid: canned or boxed unless you're dealing with a whole grain cereal.
Also, the less ingredients something has, the better it is for you.
I'd suggest avoiding all meat but I'm a vegetarian.
