ML: I had the same reaction to The OC when it first started this year -- way too self-conscious -- although others said they liked the fact that they didn't take themselves too seriously. I still thought the Chrismukkah ep was hilarious in parts, and Seth did mention all the attendant merchandising of his combined holiday, which sounded to me like a tweak at all the OC merchandising.
