He's one of the best martial artists ever! My bro knew of him before LW4, but I only saw his work in LW4. And I have to say that I [img]smilies/love.gif[/img] him!
His stunts are phenomenal. Actually, I've pretty much almost watched every movie he's been in.
I'm not a big fan of his Hollywood films. In fact, I really don't like *most* of Hollywood marital arts films. They just don't know how to make them. Everything seems so cliche and put in just to 'put' it in the film.
What really draws me to Jet Li, is his skills. I think his best work is his earlier work in HK. I think that Asian action films understand the balance of action/martial arts stunts.
I own one of his films - called The Enforcer. Great movie.
I miss the Asian factor in his movies, since a lot of them are in English and the directors try to "Americanize" him. It doesn't work. It just makes him look kind of dorky, rather than strong, which he can be, if he's given the right medium.
