I love you scene


M: They're both dead. Monica Bannon and Dakota Whitney.
S: I heard. I'm sorry.
M: I thought we were winning, Scully.
S: I know you did, Mulder.
M: I'm here to see Father Joe. I'm wanna show him these photographs, these men.
S: You still wanna believe him. You should know that he's been diagnosed with a terminal illness. He has advanced stage lung cancer.
M: I just wanna be sure.
S: Then let me ask him.
(cut to Father Joe's room)
Father Joe: (to Mulder) You wouldn't believe, I was thinking of you. I had a vision you might find interesting of a man speaking a foreign language.
S: (holds up a photo) Did he happen to look like this?
FJ: Yeah. That's the man. How did you know?
S: We think he's the man that abducted the FBI agent and the second woman you say you saw and possibly many more. And we think that he's helped by this man. (holds up another photo)
FJ: I don't know who that is.
M: Are you sure?
FJ: I'm fairly certain that I don't know him.
S: I'm fairly certain that you do. And that you've known him since he was a boy.
FJ: Oh no. It can't be true. I don't believe this. He was my connection to the girl. My visions were to save her from him. This is God's work. This is God's work.
S: Let me ask you one more question, Father Joe. The FBI agent, the first woman that you saw. Is she still alive?
FJ: I feel her. Yes. Yes she's still alive.
(cut to M&S walking down the hall)
S: Mulder.
M: The second victim may be alive everybody's given up on her but I'm not going to.
S: Mulder, you think I don't understand but I do. This stuborness of yours - it's why I fell in love with you.
M: It's like you said, that's why we can't be together.
