Come on, you cannot say in S1 that Peyton is what broke them up. It doesn’t matter if Lucas wanted to be with her or not, he didn’t want to be with Brooke. What broke Lucas and Brooke up in S1 was that he didn’t want to be with her. It is as simple as that. If Lucas ends a relationship because he has feeling for Peyton, that is hardly her fault. She can’t control what he feels anymore that she can control the weather.

If you go back and watch 1.13, you can see Lucas was happy with Brooke until he made out with Peyt. in the motel, and then the next episode he was all, "I can't stop thing about you, Peyton!1" So...yeah.
And anyway, I don't know why I even have to have a debate about my
opinions.
