Nope, Charisma/Ashley disapproved of him and all the valley kids. She pegged them as losers.
She had her eye on on the Kerri Russell character's brother though, and kept trying to hook up with him all season. Ironically, he was played by greg vaughan who later played one of the frat guys in "Reptile Boy" that tried to sacrifice Cordelia and Buffy to the demon Machida.
