That's for sure. I was watching a few scenes from the Spring Dance today, in season one, and Kelly admits to him that she always found him cute, and he says he knows her too well for something to happen and she's like "Can't you fake amnesia or something?"
Althought, I really think that the only reason the ynever went pass friends at that point was because of Steve
