So - I wonder who Lorelai is talking to when Luke overhears her. If it is Rory, I can see him getting hurt and upset; if it is Kirk (or one of the other goofy gossipy townies) I would hope that by now Luke would see through that and realize she is probably just covering because of who she is talking to -

I hope this episode ends with some sort of clarity of this thing - though if it is clear up, why would the kiss be an unexpected reaction? Curious.
